Dancing with the Stars

What do you think of the new season of DWTS so far???

I have yet to actually SEE Cloris Leachman dance, but she’s just too fun. Cody did pretty good tonight, but the one that really got me was Warren Sapp. I wasn’t familiar with him at all before, but he is such a cutie - I love his personality and his great attitude! I’m totally rooting for him (and I voted for him tonight too!)

Give me a call or email me or go to the NW Nights chat page tonight and let me know who YOU like best so far! And be sure and check back to the NW Nights videos page all season for the recaps and highlights!

Going to Mt Hood this Weekend!

Tuesday, September 16th, 2008

Well, hopefully, anyway! I’ve been wanting to go up there all this summer, and I still haven’t gotten a chance! I just love the Mountain in the summer -  all the lakes and the little cabins!

But then again, I might just have to go see “The Duchess” this weekend with Keira Knightley - that looked really good and it comes out Friday…

And then my best friend Sarah was talking about going to the beach (Seaside? Cannon Beach?) and helping with the SOLV beach clean-up Saturday….

Oh, the possibilities! Give me a call tonight (503-733-5000 or 1-800-533-kupl) and let me know what YOU’VE got going on this weekend - looks like we’re in for one more gorgeous NW weekend! Get out there and enjoy it!  :-)

Another Big Weekend in the NW on the Way

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

So what did you do last weekend? I went to Seaside for the Wheels and Waves car show, which was fun as always and it was the biggest show they’ve ever had (according to my dad, and he should know!). Mainstreet Seaside was packed, I’ll say that much.

And now it’s on to another big weekend in the NW THIS weekend! The Beaverton Parade and Old Town Festival is this Saturday - better make plans now to join your fellow citizens for a citywide celebration starting at 10 am! This year’s parade Grand Marshall is The Roloff Family, stars of television’s “Little People, Big World.” Free family entertainment and fun follows the parade from 11 am to 3 pm at the 2008 Old Town Festival!

The 26th annual Eugene Celebration and Mt Angel’s Oktoberfest are this weekend too! For more info on all these events, hit up my “links” tab on the NW Nights homepage!

In the Wake of Phantom of the Opera…

Friday, September 5th, 2008

YES! Finally got to see Phantom of the Opera last Saturday at the Keller! First of all, I’ve got to say - the singing and the orchestra were awesome! It doesn’t always happen where EVERYONE has a good voice - and they did! It was just so cool getting to hear all that fabulous music LIVE!!

The set was absolutely PHENOMENAL, as is always the case at the Keller.

My favorite part was when the Phantom takes Christine down to his lair - the way they pulled off that scene change and the way they portrayed the underground of the opera was just awesome!!

This is the last weekend of Phantom at the Keller - definitely make plans to go if you haven’t seen it!
